AIR GUITAR

You know, people might actually believe that you are actually playing that guitar... if you had an amp chord attached to it!  I cropped your barefeet out of the picture, it kind of threw the hard-rocker image.

FINALLY, AND ITS ABOUT TIME TOO!

Okay, so I have an over active imagination and was worrying for no good reason, but you should have known that when I sit here not knowing whats going on I start coming up with my own little senarios.

I hope you decide to fly in.  It will be faster, by a day and a half each way... and if you're too lazy to do the math, thats 3 days you'll save flying roundtrip verses driving.  Just something to consider.

I hope Kayle will fly out here with Zack.  I really wished she would have let you bring him, but I'll be honest, I don't blame her for saying no.  Don't get me wrong, its not that I don't trust you, but its a mommy thing, you know... its hard for us to let our babies go... especially so far away when they are so young.  You were 20 before I let you go across to the other side of the country.

Anyhow, I think I can sleep happy now.  See you real soon!

Miss you, love you.

LESS THAN A WEEK

I'm going nuts Gabe, we still haven't heard from you and the 27th is right around the corner.  Don't worry about how you're gonna get home, I can either pick you up or we can fly you in.  Don't worry about the $, we've got it covered.

I've been good and not watching the news as you've requested.  There's a new series on though, its called 'Over There'.  Its so hard to watch, and harder still not to watch.  Its on right now.  Part of me wants to shut the TV off and just hide under my blankets but another part of me is drawn to watch it.  I don't know how those other families cope.  I really don't.

Anyhow, call, call, CALL!  Just give us the word and we'll book your flight.

Miss you so much kid.  Love you even more.

CALL HOME!

Hey guy, you need to call home and let us know what your plans are... I can still drive out and get you but there is still time to get a plane ticket which would save a lot of time.  With gas prices being what they are it would probably cost the same.

Dad just called.  He's at a Vendor Fair and met a guy selling fire-retardant undergarments.  He's going to pick up a set for you, just in case you get a little too close to a fire.  Fireproof under-shorts, or man-panties as Rocky calls them.  I just hope they aren't too uncomfortable.  Regardless, WEAR THEM!

Zack is getting ready for his first interview at Wal-Mart.  He's so excited.  Poor guy has to work with all of our friends, he has no clue!  Hahahahaha!

Richard called this morning.  You need to see him at least once before you leave.  I want to have a get-together so everyone can come over, maybe to celebrate your coming of age, or your home-coming.  I don't want to think of it as a farewell party.

Becca's pet snake is missing, this is day 3.  I think it may have met up with your two missing snakes and is living it up under the house.  Oh Lord I hope it didn't crawl into the heater vent, its just about time to start running the heater at night and I don't want to be smelling fried snake every time the heater kicks on.

Well, I've got to take Zack to his interview.  Call, okay?

Miss you, love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy 21st Birthday Gabe!  Wow, so now you're legal.  I hope you don't go out and get totally plastered, hangovers are so nasty the next day, take my word for it.  I hope you are able to celebrate though.  Wish we could be there with you, but hopefully we'll get our chance in a couple of weeks.  Take care son,

Miss you, love you!

ANOTHER SLEEPLESS NIGHT

Hey Gabe, just passing the seconds, hoping it will make the minutes go by faster so the night will be over and I can get on with the new day.  I hate nighttime now.  Its a waste of time, I don't seem to get any sleeping done any more so why bother even going to bed?

Let us know for sure when you will get your leave and if Kayle is going to let you bring little Zachary.  I'm praying she will, even if it means her coming too.  You do know she is more than welcome to stay here even though you two aren't a couple any more.  If things don't work out, I can even drive out and pick you up since big Zack isn't in school yet and can make sure Rocky gets off to school in the mornings.  If I do drive out, it will probably be in the Pontiac since Big Red would use up too much gas.  At any rate, let us know when and we'll get you out here one way or the other.

Rocky's birthday is on Sunday.  She will be 11.  Then you turn 21 (woo hoo!) on the 17th, and Art will be 16 on the 18th.  This is a busy month!  But thats okay because school starts on the 17th... YEHAW!

Well, I better make an attempt at sleeping before your dad misses me and thinks I'm doing some hanky panky on the computer.  Miss you son, love you tons!

Yeah, its me again

I spoke to Laquita the other night, after over 10 years!  She is doing really well.  It was wild, I did a quick search on her name, never expecting to find anything because she was talking about getting married the last time I spoke with her, so image my surprise when I found an artical, not only with her name, but contact information dated February of this year!  I emailed her, so I wouldn't make a total fool of myself if it turned out not to be her, but it was.  She sounds the same, even after all these years!  I'll bet she even looks the same!  Well, that makes one of us!

Mike got in an accident yesterday while riding his motorcycle.  Some lady tried to pass a truck behind him and ran into him because she didn't realize that he was in front of the truck.  His right leg got pretty messed up and he has stitches, but Richard said nothing was broken... besides the bike that is!  His Harley was totaled.  He was supposed to leave for Sturgis this weekend, needless to say that trip has been cancelled.

I've stopped looking at calendars now.  The only date I'm tracking is the first day of school... thats in 13 more days.  Woo hoo!  I'll be dancing in the street that morning, its been a long summer and its not even starting to wind down!  Your brothers and sisters are driving me nuts.  But not in a bad way I suppose.  Its been fun.  Its just time for them to go back to school.

Well, I've got meat to grind.  We're having gyros tonight, that a Greek dish.  You probably don't remember it from Germany, but you loved it as a little one.  Gonna try it on the grill tonight.  Wish me luck.

Miss you, love you!
