Dear Gabe,

Brinton sent me this picture of you and Drew's dad.  Isn't it cool how you can go half way around the world in a totally foreign country and bump into old friends from home?

Your dad took Art and Rocky out turkey hunting.  It was supposed to snow early this morning, but the sun is out, the birds are chirping and it looks like just another beautifully spring morning.  Those poor weather reporters probably hate trying to predict Colorado's weather, they never seem to get it right.

I'm trying hard not to watch the clock, and you know me... this countdown I've been doing is the closest to a calendar that I've got, but just think... in 2 weeks you'll start your journey home.  people at work keep asking me if I'm excited yet... yeah, well, what do you think?  You and Little Zack, in less than 3 weeks, YIPEE!

14 Days And A Wakeup!

TALKED TO KAYLE LAST NIGHT

Dear Gabe,

We spoke to Kayle last night.  It was nice to hear her and talk about Little Zachary.  Its starting to feel real rather than just a dream.  Just two more weeks and the wheels will be in motion.

Kayle was able to get to this site and she saw the little animation of you and Little Zachary.  She was laughing when she talked about how much you two look alike.  I guess she didn't realize it was you in the beginning.  She said it was because you were so much darker than Zack that she realized the difference.  Too funny!

Well, I'm off to work.  Its a short day today, YAY!  Hope your day is short and safe.  Miss you, love you always!

Dear Gabe,

I hope this little animation will load for you, its incredible!  It starts with a picture of you at about 13 months old (I believe it was taken while we were in New Mexico for Auntie Val and Uncle Ken's wedding).  It ends with Little Zachary at about 15 months old.  All I can say is Oh My Gosh!

Dear Gabe,

Yipee Yahoo!  A solid date!  May 15th sounds good to me.  I've been hearing that it takes the guys any where from 3 to 5 days to get home so yeah, we'll be ready and waiting.  And so will Little Zachary!

Art and Rocky are out turkey hunting this morning with Dad and Bert.  This is Rocky's first turkey season and she is soooo excited.  She made sure her laundry was washed, she went to bed early, and then even came back out of her room and yelled at Art because he was making too much noise.  It would be so cool if she could get her turkey this season.  Becca goes tomorrow to defend her title for the largest tom.  Art is going to give her a little competition though, he's really starting to take hunting seriously.

The mourning dove are back in our tree again.  Its so nice to hear them cooing all day.  I miss my dove Rumaki and Soufflé.  The only pets we have right now are the two fish... Henry your goldfish and Ratchet, the murdering Krip.  It seems weird not to have any other critters running around.  I keep threatening to get a chinchilla, I think I will do it this summer.  They're soooo cute.

Well, 9:33 and I haven't had a cup of coffee yet.  Guess I better go get fueled up.  Its going to be a long day.  I get to work until 11:30 tonight... yay me!  (not!)
