27 Days And A Wake Up~

Dear Gabe,

Today was a 'Girls Day Out'.  Kimmie, Becca, Rocky and I went shopping.  What a blast that was.  We went to Ross's first and the girls tried on all kinds of clothes.  Kimmie and Becca jumped out of the dressing room dancing and had the attendant laughing so hard.  Kim was wearing turquoise blue spandex pants.  Don't worry, you'll get to see her in them.  And believe me when I say she has lost all of her baby fat from Ryott!  She and Becca bought some cheap sunglasses, cos they're so cool like that (Becca's words, not mine).  Dad, who was our chauffeur for the day, even had ZZ Top's cd in the truck so he played 'Cheap Sunglasses' for them on the way home.  Too funny!

Kim has to check with Connie about flying out here with Zack.  Seem's Kayle's due date has been moved back to the end of June so it just might be possible for Connie to leave for a week or two.  I hope she can because I want to see Zachary and I don't want you to have to cut your visit here short.  But I'm a big girl and I can share so we'll just do what we have to do to make it work.

Ugh, it's almost 10pm.  I'm a night person.  I don't know what I was thinking when I took an early morning job.  But 3 am comes around quick so I best be hitting the sack.  Take care my son and be safe.  Love you always,

Mom~

29 DAYS AND A WAKE UP!

Dear Gabe,

I hope you're thinking about what you want to eat when you get home.  I'll cook anything you want (except liver and onions, I've already cooked them once in the past 12 months, that's my limit!)  We have a couple of restaurants we want to take you to as well.  One is L&L Hawaiian BBQ ~ they have lau lau and even spam musubi!  The other is called Ultimate Buffet which specializes mostly in Asian food (sushi and sashimi!) but they also have steak, crab legs and mac and cheese!  They are the best buffet in town... and they serve alcohol!

Gonna go shopping for some cloths for you next week.  This is going to be fun.  I haven't bought you cloths in ages!  I get to dress you like a doll!  Hahaha!  Don't worry, I don't like preppy stuff any more than you do, but don't count on saggy pants either!  It'll be jeans, Dickies and khakis.

Maybe I'll go shopping this weekend.  What size shoe do you wear?

Till then, be safe.  Love you always,

Mom~

30 DAYS AND A WAKE UP!

Dear Gabe,

Art and his girlfriend are trying to get his flight switched to a later date.  There is no way he's going to miss out on seeing his big brother!  Shannel should be in town as well, and her husband Levi will join her and the little ones in June.  Too bad Eric and Brinton have moved.  But the rest of the Brew Crew should still be around.

Another gorgeous day but we have rain in the forecast.  Thats good since the fire on Carson is still smoldering.  Dad says there are hot spots up in the trees and all it would take is one good gust of wind to get them going again.  If we're lucky the rain will come early and stay a while.

In all my excitement I forgot to mention that Grandma's test results came back clear and her doctor has declared her officially cancer free.  That is such a great relief to everyone.  Auntie Lisa is still undergoing her treatments but she's as tough as Grandma so I'm betting it will just be a matter of time before she too is off the chemo.

Luck and God have been on your side.  May they continue to do so and bring you safely home.  Love you always,

Mom~

31 DAYS

Dear Gabe,

Word is quickly getting around and folks are checking in to find out when you are going to be in town.  I had hopes of Little Zack flying out to join you here, but with his mom due to give birth to his baby sister right around that time I don't know if Grandma Connie will be able to leave to bring him here.  Kim will have to check with her about that.

My car is out of commission, waaaa!, but Dad is now trying to get Big Red running , yay!  I've been walking home from work, waaaa, but I'm getting faster with each passing day... yay!  This time next week I will practically fly home, I'll be that quick!  Hahahaha, not really!  I think I'm getting shin splints.

Its finally starting to warm up.  Its in the 70's right now.  Of course that doesn't mean that it won't snow on us any time soon, you know how it is here in Colorado.  So, we're enjoying it while we can.  We've already had two really bad brush fires this month including one on Carson which is still burning.  They lost a tanker pilot in that fire, so sad.  Dad has an amazing picture of him in flight just before the accident.  We're still debating over whether to send it to the pilot's family or not.  We'll probably have someone let the family know of its existence and let them decide for themselves.  It really is a beautiful picture of him doing what he loved to do.

I hear a motor running somewhere in the house.  There shouldn't be a motor running anywhere in the house so I suppose I should go and see what the kids are destroying this time.  You take care and be safe.  See you in about 31 days. Love you always,

Mom~
