MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Dear Gabe,

What a difference grand babies make at Christmas time!  I can't begin to tell you how happy I was this morning watching the 3 little guys as they tore into the packages the many Santas left for them.  Quite honestly I'm not sure which was more fun... shopping for the little ones, or watching their faces when they saw each gift.

Art's girlfriend and her family spent Christmas Eve with us.  You would absolutely love Emily.  She's a little eccentric and we never know what color her hair will be from one day to the next, but she and Art are just the perfect couple.  I've already warned Art and her family that if they ever break up Art will have to leave because I'm keeping Em.  Her family is real cool too.  Becca and Em are best friends, and Art and her brother have been friends since Jr. high.

Kimmie and the boys spent the afternoon and evening at David's house.  We had a nice dinner with just us.  As usual we set a plate and glass for you.  Dad said grace for us... and you and your buddies.  We had ham, with candied yams (thanks Art!) and green beans.  I love these holiday meals because we all sit at the table together, say grace and talk about old times. Just think, by next year everything we do now will be 'old times'.  I'm so glad Kimmie and the little Oompas are with us now to become good old times.

I hope you had a great Christmas.  Thank you so much for bringing Kimmie and the little guys into our lives.  We miss you and love you so much!  Be safe,

Mom~
