ARTHUR'S POEM

Dear Gabe,

By now I know you have already read this poem, but I really wanted to post it here for you, and Idanan, Bishop and Husted.  I honestly cried when I first read it.  I had no idea Art was capable of this depth of writing.  No, thats not entirely true.  I've read other poems by him that have surprised me so I should have expected this, but still it took me off guard.

Anyhow, the point is, your buddies, your commerades in arms, your Army family, is our family as well.  We count on them to cover your back just as their families count on you.  What happens to your troop out there affects all of us, family and strangers, yet family none the less.

I'm still waiting to hear from you and your 'news'.  I'm hoping its good news.  I'm hoping its about a new family, a new job, a new hope.  I'm hoping its happy.  I'm happy just in case.  Call me, or write me.  The suspense is killing me worse than any bad news might.  CALL ME!

Still missing you but love you always.

Mom~
