CRAZY COLORADO WEATHER

Dear Gabe,

Have you heard from Kimmie yet?  I hope I'm not spoiling her surprise.  Instead of her going back to Ohio for a visit next month her mom is going to bring Little Zack out here when you are here on leave.  How cool is that?  I am so excited.  Keep your fingers crossed that this time it goes through as planned.  I hear Zack is wearing big boy britches now, now more diapers.  Woo Hoo!

Its beautiful outside right now.  64 degrees and sunny.  Its hard to believe that I had to chip ice off my windshield yesterday morning.  Even this morning was so cold at 4am that I just missed the arrival of the frost.  Its always colder at 6am than it is at 4am here, crazy huh?  Anyhow I'm not getting too excited yet, Colorado typically gets the most snow during the month of April, which is just a couple of days away.

Hey, I talked to our old neighbor Mr. Martin, who sends his regards.  He says Jerrell is married with one little one.  He's an Honor Guard at Fort Meyer, Va.  Yep, his daddy is very proud of him, and you as well!

Its just weeks now before we get you back.  Needless to say I can't wait.  And to have both of your boys here too, it will be awesome!  Keep safe, see you soon!

Love as always,

Mom~

Boo! Oh, did I scare you?

 Look, it's me.  I miss you more than the world itself right now Gabe.  It's like the role model of mine is to far away to see me make my accomplishments.  But since you are not here to see I shall tell you instead.  There is a violin still in my hands about every other day that notes come dancing from the strings.  I am still singing, though the two are not on my schedule for next year does not mean I am quiting.  I plan to go to a College that gives me a chance for a good Biology, Oceanography and Astronomy practice.  It also means that I have to do a LOT of math.  But in the end it will be worth it for when I see all new nebula's or discover all sorts of new marine life or organisms in isolated area's.  My first discovery will be named Something Like...  I don't know...  How about TyOsa... Only because it sounds cool.  Well, it does, so NEH! Mom says I would not pick up music again after next year, but I am going to try and get the classes back senior year.  Sophmore year went by really slow.  It sucked big time also, but CSAP is over!!!  YEAH!  now it's onto SAT and ACT, but I will rock at those.

Well, happy Easter, and happy RANDOM DAY YOU READ THIS!  Lol.  Smile, I still look up to you brother!  See, I'm smiling and so it Share Bear!

Happy Easter!!!

Hey  Hey Gaka!

 The Powwow was Amazing and Dad actually spents some money (on Me, Becca, and the cousins, of course!) I hope you had an awesome Easter! I gotta go to let Becca on so she can write a letter.

 Love always,
~~~Rocky
P.S. Grandpa says "Hi." (from Hawaii)
HAPPY EASTER!
Dear Gabe,
Wouldn't you know, it snowed again.  So I didn't get to go up to Denver to see Auntie Kesi and the family.  I felt bad but Dad said that there were a lot of cars that had skidded off the road all along I-25 so its a good thing I didn't try to drive up there.
We're just having a roast for dinner.  I wasn't sure when the gang would be home from Denver (I was supposed to be with them, grrrrr!) so we didn't make plans to have Kim and the boys over.  We'll have to get them up sometime this week.  She bought some plastic eggs and a basket for the boys to have an Easter Egg hunt with.  How fun.  I remember when you guys used to hunt for eggs in the house and back yard.  It seems like ages ago.
So is there an Easter bunny in Iraq?  I killed the one out here after I caught it leaving pallets and pallets of Easter junk all over my work floor.  Drove me nuts, I was so glad to walk in this morning and see it all cleared out... FINALLY!  Goodness, we had enough pre-packed baskets to supply all the kids in the US here in my store.  Grrrrrrrr!
Any news yet on your leave?  I hope its soon.  I'm ready to have you home, even if just for a little while.  Till then take care and be safe.
Love you always,
Mom~
HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!
Dear Gabe,
I had a glass of green beer for you.  Okay, maybe I had it for myself, but I was thinking of you when I drank it so in essence I was sharing.  Did you get some corned beef and cabbage?  We had that the week before last so tonight we had green bratwurst instead (thanks to Rocky and a overly enthusiastic squeeze on the green food coloring bottle).
Your Auntie Kesi and the family should be here Friday.  By here I mean Colorado.  They're staying up in Denver for the Pow Wow, but Kesi and the baby might come down here and stay a few extra days.  I hope so.
Kim and the boys are all sick.  There's a head and chest cold bug blowing around town and its hitting hard.  We're supposed to take her out to the mall tomorrow (Zack and Art are babysitting the little guys) to give her a break.  Hopefully she'll be feeling better by then.  If not maybe we'll just hang out at the house and take of the little ones while she gets some rest.
Can't wait to see you again.  Soon, very soon!
Love you always,
Mom~
Come home soon!
Dear Gabe,
Have you got the packages yet?  I'm sorry it took so long for me to get them out.  I kept forgetting about them until I was in bed and then I would remember and my eyes would pop wide open with an 'Oh shit!'  Grrrrrrr!
I think spring is trying to move in to the Rockies slowly but surely.  My allergies are kicking in, thats a good sign I suppose.  I have this feeling we are still in for at least one more good snow fall before we're out of the woods though.  The roads have been good so far.  That worries me.  I'll be so happy when summer gets here, but then you know I'll just start fussing about the heat and lack of rain.  There's just no pleasing me.
We've got our fingers crossed for you to come home on leave earlier than originally planned, and then home for good even sooner.  Kim's mom is pretty sick and Kim wants to go home.  I'm getting an ulcer over that.  Naturally she wants to be with her mom and help out, but she just moved into the apartment and I doubt they will allow her to break the lease without having to pay a lot of $.  Plus it will cost a lot to get her and the boys back there, and I don't think she can travel with them without help but I don't know how we will be able to swing that.  Its just a mess.  And selfishly I really want her and the boys to stay here.  I really love those guys.  Oh well, we'll work something out, we always do.
Your Auntie Kesi and the family will be coming to Denver for the Denver March Pow Wow next weekend.  Dad already has a hotel booked for us so we can spend as much time as possible with them.  I have to work the whole weekend so can only go up for part of Friday and Saturday.  I'm going to try to get Kim and the boys up one day so they can watch the dancing and meet your cousins.  I haven't seen Kesi's littlest baby, I think he's about a year old now.  I can't wait to see them again.
Drop us a line when you can.  Hope to see you soon.  Be safe as always.
Love Mom~
