Every Friggn' Bone.

Dear Gabe,

Today we went to melee again and well, I'm feeling it in every bone in my body. Mom took some photos of us. I went one on one against a coupple of the older guys including Art and Zach. There were lots of funny things going on and even Dad had a blast when he grapped a sword and entered the battlefield. Some of the pictures that Mom took got him so hyped up for an illegal shot he did. ((Even though he was still proud)) Well, I know this is a short letter, But I have to go. It's already 10:00pm over here so I should probably go to bed.

Love Always,

Rocky

GUESS WHAT?! I'M MISSING A LEG!! and more melee nonsense

Hey Gabe. Well As stated in the title, I'm "missing a leg!" Arthur joined a group called Melee which is this really cool group that gathers every Saturday to beat the crud out of each other. Well, Dad fixed the car for mom and scraped up some time to take me down for some pictures. I took a few, and then joined the fun. The reason for the "missing a leg" statement was because the way we fight is like if we had real weapons. If someone hits your arm, you lose it. If someone hits you in the leg...well...you get the picture. I was going to put 'Guess what?! I died!' as the title, but that didn't seem so fitting. Hehe. ((but I did die like 2 times LOL)) I also killed someone!!....or two....Hahaha, yeah. I figured it would be an interesting conversation at school to just walk up to someone and whisper "Hey, man, help me out. I killed to people on Saturday." I would assume they might be a little worried in their response. But yeah, the pictures above ARE me. How sad, my hair is all gone. Now now, don't get angry at me, it was Becca's idea to play stylist and cut it off, get her. LOL It doesn't look bad at all, just different. So, how have you been? Good I hope. I'll send you some more pics later. G2G.

Love always,

Rocky.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Dear Gabe,

So how is Valentine's Day out there in the desert?  I feel so guilty, I still have your Valentine's box here.  I kind of ran out of money to send it though, I sank everything thing I had and then some into a used camera.  I'll be able to get you a bunch of pictures of Kimmie and the boys now though so I hope you'll forgive me.  And the package should be going out next week so you will be getting it, eventually.

Auntie Kesi and the family will be driving out for the Denver March Pow Wow.  They're getting a room in Denver.  Dad will probably do so for one night.  I'll be working all weekend but I get off early enough so I'll just drive up.  I'm going to try to talk Kimmie into going with me one day, I think she'll enjoy it.  I know the little guys will.

Dad and I will be celebrating our anniversary tonight at the Mason Jar in Manitou Springs.  Lobster, mmmmmmmmmm!  24 years, that seems like so long ago.  Wow.

Any way, I hope you had a peaceful day.  We miss you very much.  Can't wait to get you back here.

Be safe, love you always!

HOW 'BOUT THEM GIANTS?

So anyhow, how 'bout them Giants?  We went to a Super Bowl party at Mark and Arlinda's house out in Beaver Creek (Mike Macy's friend, remember them?)and I do believe I was the only one cheering on the Giants.  It should have gotten awfully quiet when the Patriots started losing and everyone else in the house became subdued... but I couldn't tell, I was YELLING too much!  Wooo hooo!  WAY TO GO NEW YORK!

Dad called a little bit ago.  He went off the road and into a ditch today down range in the work truck.  He says he's okay but he totalled the truck.  Today is our anniversary, but it will be late by the time he gets home and I don't think he'll be in the mood for celebrating.  He says he just bumped his knee but I'm going to worry until I see for myself.  Poor guy, he sounded so depressed over the phone.  I know things will be okay, but until he finds out for sure he's going to worry.

I took Kim some WIC stuff... milk, cereal, eggs, more peanut butter... etc.  Poor thing, the downstairs neighbor is really harassing her.  I don't think that woman will be happy unless the boys stay perfectly still and absolutely silent.  Kim finally called the apartment manager because the banging on the ceiling (Kim's floor) every time the boys made a sound (and sometimes even when they didn't!) was getting ridiculous.  Hopefully the manager was able to reason with the lady.  Grrrrrrr!  People like that really irk me!  Kim's handling everything in stride though.  She's really doing awesome.

Those nuts over at Cold Steel sent the machete here so I'll send it out in the next day or two.  You'll be getting another package with other goodies about that time as well so be looking for it.  Till then, stay safe.  Miss you, Love you!

Mom~
